What is it
DERIVE Breathe is a 45 minute high-intensity cardio class. We use bikes, rowers, light weights, and simple gymnastics movements to deliver a sweaty, full-body workout. Breathe is for everyone.
Our goal is to help athletes that fill any of these categories:
Are looking to improve their aerobic system & overall fitness
Struggle with longer workouts or have trouble recovering after shorter ones
Have had a long day the previous day or that day at work and are looking to just GO & sweat
Are short on time OR have extra time and want to add on to their current regimen
The class will have minimal warm-up; all workouts will be 30+ minutes of work. Our goal is to create an environment where you can learn to both push and pace, all with as little thinking as possible while increasing your fitness as much as possible.
COST
FREE to members. $20 for drop-ins. No on-boarding or CrossFit experience needed.
WHere you come in
This class is not official YET. In order to have a successful class, there needs to be interest and attendance!
What we want to do: We wanted to create a multipurpose class that not only could standalone based off of our highly successful Aerobic Capacity PT, but could also provide an opportunity for the 99% of our population that have long and/or stressful days and need a lower impact outlet.
What didn’t work before: The class was too specific, too limiting and most of the time, only used one machine or movement. We want to apply the same concepts as CrossFit (Constantly varied, functional movement, performed at high intensity), but with lower loading and more focus on building YOUR ENGINE. Nothing can replicate 30+ minutes of work other than 30+ minutes of work.
